The Corner Shop was founded in 2013 by Emmy- and BAFTA-winning, Oscar-nominated producer Anna Hashmi and acclaimed director Peter Thwaites. With offices in Los Angeles and London, The Corner Shop is a boutique production company dedicated to crafting exceptional work. From the outset, we curated a select roster of distinctive and inspiring talent. Today, our lineup features award-winning directors such as Ellen Kuras, Jonathan Herman, Wilfrid Brimo, Malik Vitthal, Ivan Grbovic, Sara Dunlop, and, of course, Peter Thwaites.
Our expertise extends beyond commercials to development and production for a range of media. We are proud to be one of the BBC’s Small Indie Funding Companies, with exciting projects currently in development. Our additional work includes the BAFTA-winning Channel 4 series How To Be A Person, directed by Sindha Agha; the Oscar-nominated short film Invincible, directed by Vincent Rene-Lortie; and the DOC NYC Grand Jury Prize-winning short documentary Holy Cowboys, directed by Varun Chopra.
Over the years, we have collaborated on high-profile campaigns for some of the world’s most renowned brands, including Coca-Cola, Crown Royal, Diet Coke, Nissan, Allstate, Acura, Sony, AT&T, Land Rover, Lexus, Samsung, Airwick, Lowe’s, Subaru, Macy’s, Mercedes-Benz, Xerox, Cox, Ubisoft, Wynn Hotels, Facebook, Chase, Party City, US Cellular, H&R Block, and Chobani, among others.
At The Corner Shop, we pride ourselves on being an accessible, collaborative, and creative partner for commercials and content creation. Our commitment to excellence has earned us industry recognition, including being ranked 3rd among the Best Commercial Production Companies at Cannes in 2018.
