Vincent Rene Lortie  is a Montreal- based film director. His work navigates between poetic, dreamlike, and surrealistic narratives across multiple genres like drama, science fiction and dance and his recent PSA for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention received a Gold Young Director Award in Cannes.

Rene-Lortie’s visually experimental film La Paeu de L’Autre was widely acclaimed internationally and his recent short film INVINCIBLE, a purposeful film about mental health was awarded Special Jury Prize at Clermont-Ferrand 2023, among other festival wins, and is now in competition for the Oscar Short Film category 2024.
