The Corner Shop was founded in 2013 by Emmy- and BAFTA-winning, Oscar-nominated producer Anna Hashmi and acclaimed director Peter Thwaites, with offices in Los Angeles and London with director and partner Sara Dunlop. The Corner Shop is a creative production company dedicated to crafting exceptional work. With a curated select roster of distinctive, talent, from Oscar-Nominated directors to exciting emerging new directors with original, eclectic and authentic voices.
Our expertise extends beyond commercials and branded content, to development and production for scripted and documentary. We are proud to be one of the BBC’s Small Indie Funding Companies, with exciting projects currently in development. Our additional work includes the BAFTA-winning Channel 4 series How To Be A Person, directed by Sindha Agha; the Oscar-nominated short film Invincible, directed by Vincent Rene-Lortie; and the DOC NYC Grand Jury Prize-winning short documentary Holy Cowboys, directed by Varun Chopra. With two current documentary feature films in production with the double Oscar-Nominated director of Honeyland, Tamara Kotevska.
